Decided to make a few changes to my stock LT1 intake manifold. I was just going to do the twin 58mm throttle body, but then i had a better idea. So I decided a single larger throttle body would be better for what I have in mind. So my short quest for a TB ended with one I had laying around from an old project. And so it began:

Adapter I made to use the stock TPI

What it will look like, for the most part




Ofcoarse there will be a flange between the TB and the intake that i am makking now. Also I have made a plate that will go under the TB which will adapt the stock idle air control motor/valve to the intake.

I'm very impressed with your fabrication work, but am confused about the reason for the project. Is this just to do something different on the LT1, to improve performance, to look better, etc?

If you can't fix it with a hammer, you have an electrical problem.

That's the first question that popped into mind, looks like it'll be close. Fab work looks good!

Should clear the hood, it is less than 1" taller than the stock manifold. The reason behind doing this is for 38% more airflow over the dual TB design which I hope will work well with my upcomming vortech SC
