Default FS: 98 LS1 FC gauges

See the picture... This is a 1998 cluster that is hacked down to fit in an FC dash. I had to trim some of the plastic inside the dash to make a little more room, and I had to persuade one of the vent ducts to give a little more space as well. The clear plastic is in excellent shape (it was brand new before I took my dremel to it). This bolts in just like the stock cluster. With a 98 engine and the interior wiring harness this should be plug and play, unless you want the fuel gauge to work. Good luck with that. Theoretically you could also get everything working with a later engine if you add a '98 temp sensor. I do have wiring diagrams for the cluster.

I'm selling it because I couldn't get the tach or the temp gauge to work with my 2000 motor, so I said to hell with it and bought the 99+ gauge, and gutted out the dash so I have room for the whole thing. While removing extra wiring I realized the tach wire was never hooked up. :doah: However the needle for the tach does seem to be a little messed up in the cluster (hard to describe, but it sits lower than the others) so I am not really sure if it is any good or not. I already repinned my wiring for the 99+ gauge so I can't test it.

If after reading all that you still want it, let me know Since both parts are butchered, I'll let it go for the price of shipping. The nice clear plastic should make it worthwhile even if it turns out the tach is broken.
