Default Wiring ** Already Searched Threads ** Electronic Gagues

I have search high and low through the threads...

Do I need to save ANY wires for my conversion except the a/c compressor?

I have all electronic gagues speedo and all I have ran new wires for those.

I do not see that I will need anything else.. Your input is very welcome...

88 vert with a 97 lt1.

Also has anyone with a vert reinstalled the front x member. Seems that verts have an extra x member near the front of the transmission. DO I need this ?

Dude, I have already told you face to face. Save all of the wires for now. Use what you need and then do a big cleanup when you are done, if you feel like it.

POWERLOVER.

You have been by far the best help. Hell you even burned me a SM for my car. I can not thank you enough..

Vert In Vegas has been a great help as well.

Just wanted to say thanks again.

As far as out conversations, you did tell me to cut later. But it you remember in my parking lot I told you I was going with all electronic gagues to avoid issues with Mazda wires.

In this post I was just fishing for any other suggestions.

When I did my first conversion I went through and hacked everything first and then put the motor in. Made alot more sense because it was easier to move around in the engine bay with no motor in it (and I am running all electronic gauges). My second conversion just hit the road last weekend and I did this car the exact opposite. Everything was left alone until I have tested everything out and I will clean it up later.

I chopped mine through the entire harness back to the firewall. I stripped EVERYTHING that was not needed

I left everything on the drivers side and cut everything but, wipers and cruise on passenger side. I now need to clean up the harness on the drivers side, big bundle of useless wiring. If you are really good at reading a wiring diagram and have the right one for your car, cut the wires not needed while the motor is out. It will be alot easier. If you are unsure, leave it.

I submitted a thread on wiring cleanup about a year ago, I got a lot of great suggestions plus some good pics. I cleaned up the passenger side, but left the driver side alone until I knew what I needed keep and kept any extra power connections un-switched or not.
