There is a group buy put on by JimLab for another run of the unobtanium FD suspension bushing kits. These are Nylon 6-6 material which is much stiffer than polyeurathane bushings. I'm under the impression that only MazdaSpeed offers replacement bushings and they are 50% more in cost. Here is a link to the thread: http://www.rx7club.com/showthread.ph...hreadid=268872 And here is what you get for the cost of $675: 4 front upper control arm bushings 4 front lower control arm bushings 4 rear upper control arm bushings 2 rear upper control arm shock mount bushings 2 rear trailing arm bushings 2 differential mount bushings 18 total There are currently 14 people in. If the number increases to 18 people the cost goes down $20. If you really want your FD to handle this is the ticket to brining it to the next level (with better shocks/springs/sway bars as well). Sloppy worn out bushings happen from 80K miles and later depending upon road conditions/driving habits/climate. He only makes a few sets at a time and the last run was about a year ago I believe. Everyone says the quality is top notch. Anyone interested in this contact Jim at jimlab@earthlink.net for payment. This buy ends tomorrow I believe. 3/4/04 (Thursday) -GNX7

THey are essentially delrin bushings.... made from a nylon rod and then machined. The ones from MazdaSpeed are something like $1K! FD stuff sure is pricey. My FC polyeurathane bushings were only about $130 for everything including toe eliminator bushings. -Mark

Im pretty sure the bushings used in the FD have a fundamental difference preventing the larger poly compaines from mass producing them. Thats probably why they are so expensive.
