Default Anybody have a Racing Beat exhaust?

Soooo... is anyone using a Racing Beat cat back on their V8? I'm trying to make my car quieter and am considering it as an option. Some input would be great, some sound clips would be better

Right now the car has no emissions equipment and has a tanabe medallion racing exhaust on the back. It's VERY loud...

I found one at the local pick-n-pull (crazy, huh?) and contemplated putting it on my car since it is a 2.5" ish dual exhaust and looked like it would be pretty quiet. I don't see why it wouldn't work Unfortunately, the thing weighed something close to 50#'s. The cat-back I have on my car was around 14#'s IIRC. I just couldn't take that kind of weight penalty.

You might be talking about an FD exhaust though?

Why not try a borla or dynomax inline muffler to quiet it down some?

If you are talking about an FD exhaust...

Anyone using an RB exhaust on an FD swap?

I asked this question a while ago.

YEP, I use a 3" RB and love the sound, coupled with a high flow cat, the volume is wonderful for cruising, with no cabin drone.

Thanks for the input guys! Seems the RB has a good reputation for being pretty quiet. I posted some interested over on the Club for purchasing a used RB, we'll see what happens

I have the 3" racing beat with dual tips, and no cats with long tube headers. I find it sounds perfect, not loud at all.
