We had a customer buy an ebay turbo kit.

That thing was the biggest pile of crap I've ever seen. And my favorite food is White Castle, if that gives you any ideas. Stay away, FAR AWAY.

Even if fitment and quality was perfect a single t61 is awful small for a 5.7 liter motor... If you want to look into it further, check out the flow maps for different sized motors and do the calculations to determine where your motor needs to run. If I recall turbonetics.com has some helpful info. YOu might find that your motor is running completely outside the efficency plot for this turbo..

i would like to use the hot pipes and put my own turbo on it for some testing. I doubt they will fit in an FD chassis though.

I think it's turbochargers.com or something like that has a chart with a complete breakdown of air consumption for LSX motors too.

The manifolds are made with a thinner grade metal, prone to cracking. They sell the same Junk for honda/acura. A Decent turbo like a t-61 garrett will cost around $1000. I would just hold out and keep saving and buy something worth while, weather you buy a complete kit or peice one together. You are going to alot happier in the long run.

And the rest of the parts you'd need to have a running turbo'd car would cost more than that kit anyway
isn't this just for the hot-side piping... i see no mention of including a cheap turbo in the eBay auction page . i say give it a try and let us all know if it's any good .

The ad said you had to come up with your own I/C pipes... which on an f-body is no big deal right, tons of room under those hoods, lol.

Looks like this might work on a FD if you put LS1 flanges on it.
