Does anyone know anything about Brian Olea at highway 41 scrap metal. I bought a trans from him months ago. after months of calling wondering where it was, I finally got him to admit that he didn't have it. He said that he'd send me a check right away. Well its been another month. Now no one there answers the phone, and his home number has been disconnected. Does anyone know if he's gone out of business or declared bankruptcy? This guy still has my money so any insight that you might have would be greatly apreciated.

That address is his HOME. There is not listing for a ".....Scrap Metal" place at all.

Is his number.....(334) 887-4982 ? That's City of Auburn Public Works dept. now. WTF!?

nah there is no website. There is a different number for the "business" and he has an email adress, but thats all. That number WAS his home number, but when I call it now, i get a message from the phone company saying that it was changed. When I dial that new number, it says that it has been disconnected. I've been smelling a crook for wuite some time now, but tried to be patient as he had my money. Weve got the better business bureau and the states attorney after him no, but havent heard anything yet.

please guys, Take it from someone who has been ripped off before. Only buy C.O.D. In the case of something big, like a trans. or hood, a little weekend road trip may be the best bet, or at least have them send a picture and always ask them for the tracking number. gtu350, Sorry to hear of your troubles.
