Lounge vs. tech forum

Just sitting here laughing at myself.
I was one of the ones voting for two separate forums when in a snit over the Jimlab etc.
Now ever since I read both forums all the time.
As the song says:

"Life gets tedious don't it."

P.S. I've been burning a tank of gas every three days in the RX7 (14mpIMP Gal, about 11/12 miles per US Gal. with a Holley 750)It is one bruiser of a car for a daily driver.

Speaking of random posts. I was reading about chimera twins on slashdot today.

Possibly anyone who reads both posts has two complete sets of DNA.

I'm trying to convince myself that your reply was not a putdown but am finding it difficult.

The idea of splitting off V8RX7 and V8RX7 Lounge was to separate technical discussion and general bullshit.

Funny thing about a site like Torque Central you come to think of the people on it as friends. Maybe in some cases that idea is a chimera.

I'll leave it at that.

Ahh sorry you read me wrong.. I'm constantly switching trains of thought, that was my only point! I think it's perfect how we have it here.. two forums.. one for people of a like mind, and one for technical discussion.. Works great for me!

I didn't vote on the issue, but I do think it's a pretty good idea to have two separate forums. Being pretty new around here, I do a lot of searching. Being able to disregard the non-tech posts helps alot.
Don't get me wrong, I read most everything. But since I live in Maryland and very few of the members live near me, I don't really spend much time reading about everyone's weekend racing plans. I'm hoping to get to know some of the guys who live fairly close to me, because I enjoy hanging out with people with similar interests.
This is one of the sites I hit pretty much every day. There's obviously tons of info that's been pretty helpful to me already, and my conversion is still mostly in the planning stages. I guess this is just my way of saying thanks, gang, and keep up the good work!
