Yeah right i would not go to this meet for anything. I got reemed out when i asked if i could come in the v8 car. As far as i am concerned most of that club can go #$@$ themselves. And by the club i mean springfield. I went to the meet last year and i was a piece of shit cause all i had was a first gen. Despite on the cruise i walked past 90 percent of the springfield cars.

Sorry to hear that, Im here in springfield, I havent run with any of the club yet but saw their site. They are semi anti v8 swap but i figured so is alot of the rx community and if they dont like my car f**kem they can tell me how wrong it is as I go by. All in all the posts from the kc forum looks like a good time.

By the way I saw your post on the springfield board, there were some that came to your defense, But you did get the usual rotary impaired bull sh*t comments same as at that "other" rx site.
Any way, Im highly interested in the conversion car youve got, Id like to see it, Im getting everything in order to do the swap and would really like to see your car. Ive allready done the wide body kit to my 1st gen so Im allready a Bas**rd child to the purists, what do I care If they dont like the motor either

Hey man. I thought the club was great until just a few weeks ago. If i can get everything together on car. I will try and make it. The meet is real close to my house. I actually live around weaubleau. So warsaw is a short drive. I should have the 84 running then to so i will have one of each. Then soon i will have the streetport back on the road. My V8 is nothing fancy at all. I mean i built my mounts and did a really crappy job on the firewall. But i am slowly correcting my mistakes. And i am preparing to start on the 83 it will be a 302. Just had some bad luck i lost my job due to my boss got drunk and wrecked his truck and shut it all down due to he is going to prison for his 6th dwi. So i am trying to get back to work. All i need to get the v8 car legal is exhuast and plates. No biggie. You have a wide body kit? I envy you. Hey if you ever need any parts let me know i have 5 firstgens. I love them v8 or rotary. They are just fun cars. And the guys from kc are great but everybody will just look at the second and third gens i was mad last year cause the only comment i got was damn that is loud. I had only had my motor for two weeks and it had a straight pipe off the header. But then i pulled out and blew all Springfield boys away on a bridge and all i heard was get some exhuast. So i pretty much wrote off the club.

Right on man, Yeah I know where your at, I use to work for the Corp of Engineers there at Truman so I know the area.
Im sure Ill get the same same comments about my exhaust Im 3"straight back to a Bomb. LOL I hope that it was just isolated with you since Im from here and Id like to have some rx's to run around with, tech tip etc. I know its just a small club and they are lucky to get 1/2 a dozen people to a meeting, Id be thinking they wouldnt be real picky about an rx owner no matter what breed he was but we will see. I build my cars for me and thats that nuff said. As for my project, Ive been building this car for about 6 months now Ive got pics from the start but ive been waiting to post them till its near complete, It is in the paint shop right now and Im hoping to have it back at the end of this week, as soon as I get the car back ill get the after pics of the exterior shot and post up a progress post. It is (in my opinion) a pretty sweet little ride. Im just gathering up the info and thinking that Ill do the v8 over the winter, but Im getting pretty anxious and may not wait that long we will see. Ive got a edlebrock NOS kit in the box in my closet just waiting for something to do.
I have a rebuilt 12a in the car now and it runs pretty sweet just not enough for me besides I like the challenge. Ill be selling that 12a and 5speed tranny if theres anyone looking for a rotary. When the swap day gets closer Ill post it up. just curious whats the ballpark figure on good 12a's and trannys these days??

On the 12a it depends on miles? any where from 600-350 for the engine. And if anyone wants trannies i have about 6 of them lined up beside the shop. I cannot wait to see pics of the car. I love wide bodies i am just to poor to buy one this year. I neeed to sell some cars i only have 5 7's right now.

Time tells all. First off let me apoligize for the entire city of springfield to anyone that has had to deal with the rx7 group in this area. I have finally had enought dealings with them to agree with jr that these guys are a bunch of pricks. They are truly a disgrace and an embarresment to not only our community but to the car enthusiasts around the world.
Please dont let them discourage any of you from attending any of springfields events like the streetrod nationals etc. Just avoid anything put on by or associated with these guys. Its just a bunch of adolecents with some terrible attitudes about everything. It is truly sad. That is all.
