| I havent read the "80 page JIM SAGA" on the big list in a while so I took a look at it and much to my surprise Jim is acting like we are the assholes now. Now that he doesnt get harrassed over there he starts saying shit about us. It is pretty sad actually that I was wanting him to start posting here again. Here is the post that really pisses me off, I was trying to see if I was the only one that would welcome him back and he makes a egotistical post like this. My fan club keeps me in good humor... http://www.torquecentral.com/showth...&threadid=15171 http://www.torquecentral.com/showth...&threadid=14981 Actually if a MOD could kindly remove my post and poll about Labreck I would appreciate it. Jim if you read this it may not matter to you but I am very disappointed. I am greatful for the contributions you have made to this "hobby" but you need to grow up it is a shame a successful young person like yourself has to act like you do at times. Mike |

| This is further proof that the rotards are suckers and the v-8 crew is a little more pragmatic. Jim hasn't delivered the goods in three years of development time... 5 if you include the failed 20B attempt. But they will buy his BS today and next year and probably the year after that. During that same time the members of this forum have put about 30 of these cars together. And quiet honestly Jim claiming to be a pioneer to me is total BS. To me ChrisV is the pioneer he was running a v-8 while Jim was still failing at his 20B project. This is great example of keep it simple stupid... The more complicated you get the more it will cost, the longer it will take. How can a guy with limited knowledge and $3000 succeed and a guy with huge resources fail? Common sense, hard work and persistance... |

| Granted Jim's project is a quite a bit more involved and in depth than most any of ours but you do have some valid points there, there is something to be said about reinventing the wheel.... The thing that bothers me is he would sit over here and call them assholes but now they have stopped harrassing him because of the successful and working projects of us poor slobs so now he goes back over there and talks shit about the people over here. Honestly if it wasnt for the people here that have completed the swap whether FD, FC or FB then all the zealots over there would still be riding him hard and it would be on page 10000 already. |

| You're cut off! You can't have one of his Ford rear end conversions.... Boo Hoo!!! From what I understand JimLab is the only one here skilled enough to overpay a fabricator to have this work done! I love the jimlab illogic; implying LS1 swaps just aren't challenging enough... Someday I will be smart enough to repower a $15,000 book value car with a non-running $35,000 engine. Until I get that kind of brain power will have to settle for my plebian but fully functional $3000 engine. BTW- anyone here who didn't spend $35k on a non-functioning engine and you opted for a proven non-exotic production based engine because you have some common sense, you clearly don't have your goals set high enough. MMMkay? Quote:

| http://www.rx7club.com/forum/showthr...37#post2014737 Apparently the board op is deleting my posts to Jimlab... Typical rotard fashion... When you speak the undiluted truth they balk and whine. The rotards love him tho... not suprising they fell for the fraud that is the rotary engine they will fall for the fraud that is Jimlab. Quote:

| Damn Jim sure did get his feelings hurt. I simply responded to a post that I felt was directed at me and holy over reaction. Jim later said it wasnt directed at me which is cool and I have no hard feelings if that is the case but it was to late by that point I had already posted on here and over there. |

| Jim's way or the highway. This logic works great until you find excuse after excuse to not finish your project, but in the meantime tell everyone how silly and plebian their car or project is. He really gets pissed off when you make fun of his pile of expensive parts, but doesnt seem to mind dishing it out. Maybe he is actually finishing his 5 year plus endeavor, although I doubt it will ever be finished because of the fact that it may fall short of his expectations. This he will not accept. |

| Holy Schmoly....... I read that 78th page of HIS neverending thread. Painful..... can't he just talk to his wife instead of being such a baby. He just needs to get the damn car running and driveable. He will be 3/4 insane at the current rate relying on those he can cut a check to since he isn't doing much himself. IF he actually was able to do some of the work himself instead of trying to be such a BADASS and having too much custom everything..... he would be driving it by now. I'm glad he reinvented the wheel with his setup. When he finally gets it going we'll see how much he likes it with that super monster solid roller cam and ultra high compression. KISS- Keep it simple stupid should've been part of his philosophy. Man do I feel better venting now BTW- My car is completely apart because I'm redoing everything. Gutted the car.... throwing it away. Got another super clean '87 RX-7 (silver from my dad). Building a new hell Buick GN motor with production cheap used parts that should make 600hp/650tq on pump gas..... and over 700hp/750ft/lbs tq on 116 and high timing and cost under $8K including built transmission doing 99% of the work myself. Only new things are the injectors, cam, and pistons. I am still debating what to do for a rear end solution with better gearing (higher). If you don't attempt to do it yourself you don't learn anything and consequently when something does break you are SOL. Man.... I feel really good now. -GNX7 Here are some key words from Jim's mouth: "Come back after you've accomplished something a little more difficult than dropping a bone stock LS1 into your car using someone else's installation kit and connecting a few wires... I wouldn't expect someone who didn't even install a cam in their engine to comprehend how long it takes and what kind of complications can be involved when you're having parts made that don't come straight off a shelf somewhere. More time, effort, and money went into my heads and intake alone than went into your entire conversion, and if I wanted to settle for a simple LS1 conversion just like yours, I could have had one in the car and running months ago. Nothing in your conversoin required anything more difficult than a trip to Home Depot or a call to JEGS... so get over your bad self." What an angry old man with too much money and too little talent.
