Question Hood Scoop Selection

Here is a pic of the Scoop I've decided to install on my ride. I'd like some honest input of my choice. I think it's cool.

That looks like a Mopar scoop from the late 60's early 70's

you read my mind.. i was about to post a request for suggestions. i have an FB i need to put a scoop onto to clear a slightly taller EFI selection. looking for something cheap to free myself.. I have a friend willing to give me an early model scoop from a 79ish mustang/capri, but I don't know of the contour will be close enough or not yet.. I'd like something subtle... any suggestions?

scoop above is a bit too much for me

thx.

If it is a scoop from a 79 Cobra it should work pretty well, very hard to find one. It is a pretty long scoop. I think it goes from 1 1/2 " to about 2 3/4 " at the back, if it the one I am thinking about.

Are you going to be running with the scoops facing front or rear?

Not being able to ride when its raining sucks, I know.

I mounted my Boss429 scoop with the opening forward but blocked off the opening to keep out rain, bugs, dirt. I put the scoop on for hood clearance not for fresh air.

They will face front. I wont be driving it as daily driver so If I occasionally get stuck in the rain it will give me a reason to go pakrking. Not that I need a reason!
