I'm not thinking so; I don't remember seeing a road course at Dinwiddie, and the map shows them as about 120 miles apart. That'd be a REALLY big complex.

VIR = Danville, VMP = Dinwiddie.

Is there a dragstrip at VIR?

Road america would be a great place to have a meet and not just because it's an hour from me, practically walking distance from Ray and Mr. Coleman Elkhart lake is absolutely gorgeous in the summertime, there is fine dining, hotels etc. There is also a nice dragstrip 75 minutes to the south.

The only catch is that it is tough to get weekend tracktime in summer. I could check with the bimmer and porsche club guys to see what days they have next year?

Otherwise we could do something around the alms(Howard's annual rotary gathering), cart or other big races. Some of the events allow "touring" where you can drive your car on the track for 20 minutes for $50.

Dave's place was great and I had a blast even if the weather did not cooperate. I was just thinking that a road course track day with all V8 RX7's would be a blast and might draw more people at the same time. Also if we rented a track for the weekend with enough people it would not cost any more then a normal HPDE event. But I also realize that SNS has been way lower cost wise then even a HPDE event would cost. Just throw ideas out.
