I have no latch (welded holes shut/smoothed) and shaved off the hood prop as well. I'm planning on running hood shocks. Gives the car a very clean look.

When I bought them I swear they were quite a bit more than $95.

NRG makes hood dampers for the RX-7 in silver and carbon fiber:

Their web site sucks so you have to scroll down the list of products to see them. I have the CF ones and they look pretty nice. Haven't installed them yet so I can't comment on function.

Oddly, the LAST part I have left from my C6 is the NEW Vararam I never got around to installing. And I already have hood struts on my FC

I got my hood struts from Redline Tuning, but I've seen them cheaper on eBay (if you haven't already bought those yet). I hadn't seen these Aerocatch pieces until I saw them here - they look like a great solution to the "can I leave my car parked out of my sight while I [eat dinner, see a movie, work in the office]" question when you've eliminated the stock hood latch.

Car's looking real nice. I'm not at all a fan of widebody kits but that color is so nice on the car it doesn't matter to me, the car just looks great.

Are the threaded rods, by any chance, aluminum.
