Default My First LS1 FD Build!!!!

I am new to the forum so I will introduce myself my name is Joe and this is my current LS1 FD project. I am also a member on LS1Tech and RX7Club but between work and work I dont find much time to post. But now to the important stuff. Just pulled the rotary 2 days ago and got the Hinson Kit yesterday. Also got the used Hinson cooling system. Thanks ZKeller for a killer deal. Tomorrow morning I am going to pick up the 2000 LS1 and T-56 with 50k miles. Got it from a local junkyard for $3,100 complete with harness, ecu and alt. As for the rest of the car below I will list everything on the car or on order. Hopefully I will have some updates soon. I like everyone else am waiting for parts in the mail.

00 Ls1 and T-56
Havnt found the right deal on Cam and springs yet
Complete Hinson Mounting Kit
Aeromotive FPR, Walbro 255lph pump
3.5" Aluminum Intake
Buddy Club Catback 3" Stainless
Custom Fab. Tig Long Tubes
Evo-R Headlight Conversion
Tokico Illums/Eibach Springs
Blitz TechnoSpeeds 18x10 rears
99 Spec Tails
R1 Lip

Sure there is some more I forgot but the goals are 400rwhp and some reliability

-Joe

Coulnt believe the Fd made it back from NC with no issues at all.

Here is a pic when the car had Tein Coilovers on it. But they were sold before I bought it.

Test fit to see if Hinson did his job.

Still have to finish up putting these bad boys together.

Some of the fuel system.

Only took 2 hours to get it out. I was real happy to see it out of the car.

Not sure if I will be using these on this car or not. Most likely not.

Lets see if anyone remembers this FD. You only get one clue, he is a member on this forum

Sure you can have the rainbow FD. But you gotta donate $1,700 to this project.

When I bought the car it has a Pro Street Hood scoop on it. In the class I will be racing the car I am not allowed to have a forward facing scoop. So I removed it and will just be making a fiberglass bump to cover the cutout and give me a little more room.

Haha, sorry I will get its name right next time.

Incase anyone missed the scoop. Heres a picture before I removed it.

As for the black FD, I am making some progress. Picked up the Ls1 and T-56 from the J-yard this morning. Started to clean it up and get ready to put it in this weekend. Also had a little bit of time today and made up the heater core lines and bent up the clutch lines.

Wasnt planning on putting the engine in till this weekend. But when I got home the motor was just sitting there, begging to go in. I still have to finsih up the fuel system. Mod the harness(not looking forward to that) finish up the clutch lines and figure out what I will be using for an exhaust. But hell I finally got a FD with a LS1 bolted in.

About 2 hours after I picked it up this moring, did a little cleaning then off to work.

Got back from work and decided it was time to put it in. Apparently in the mean time my camera shit the bed. Cause that is one poor quality picture.
