Default My FC, round three of upgrades...

The car hasn't been driven since November and it hasn't been worked on since probably March. I finally have some free time to work on the 7 and my goal is to have it moving again and drive it before snow starts flying.

I bought some Enkei RPM2 wheels, Yokohama AVS ES100s, Spal fans, LS6 intake, 3.73 Ford gears, rebuild kit for the diff, Goodridge S/S braided brake lines, and I am lenghtening the wiring harness so I can mount the PCM in the footwell. Then i will finish the A/C install. I hope...

Gears are being installed Saturday. Drive shaft is being built on Sunday. I am almost done with the harness.

It's about time some of the longer running cars on the board got documented via build threads! A request: see if you can link to some old threads talking about the car.

Any more details on how you plan to do this? I have mine mounted behind the passenger strut tower and I hate it, there is a little mess of wires back there that I have screwed with a few times trying to clean it up a bit with minimal success.

I was kinda hopping for a reason to pull my engine so I could clean up some of that wiring and cut another hole so I could run the wiring through, well that or just pull the dash and work on cleaning it up from the other side.

Looks good though, I might steal the coolant vent into the upper radiator hose idea.

I lengthened the harness by cutting each wire, one by one, soldering an extra 2 feet of wire and shrink wrapping the splices.

I am adding a foot and a half to mine using the same method. I am using solder and heat shrink for all the power and grounds and I am using crimp connectors with a heat shrink surround for all of the sensor signal wires. It's a pain in the ass. I am almost done. I had the computer mounted behind the passenger side strut tower and I had a "loop" of extra wire hanging over the passenger side coils. I hated it, I thought it looked shity. I am also adding a fuse block, rewiring my gauge cluster, and making a new gauge pod with some fiberglass.

I love how shitty my engine bay looks.......including the emissions shit, waiting to be reused if / when I want to use it. I now have 34,000 miles on the car since the swap. Driving it, is more fun than wrenching on it.
