Default fc lt1 project

Well started work on the project today. Picked up a 90 glx roller last week heres what it looked like fresh off the trailer.

Did some work today pulling the rear end out of it to make way for the 8.8 that will be replacing it. This was alot easier than i expected. Was only like 8 bolts and it was ready to drop took less than a few hours to do.

Ya got the model mixed up lol. Ya i was suprised and very pleased with the car when i picked it up. The add only had one interior pic and it wasnt very good so i was expecting the worse and the interior is realy very clean reminded me of when i got my first project car a 91 crx si. Was in a guys garage for 6 years of its 12 year life when i got it. Ordered my grannys cradle friday and it showed up monday as i was headed out the door for work fast shipping. Going to drop the motor in wed for mocking up longtubes and a radiator. I would be doing the wiring aswell but i bought an "uncut" harness on ebay only to get a harness with all the wires for the tranny cut. Im looking forward to getting it running and getting it to the track. This site is full of good info thanks for the welcome.

looks better than mine does. i think my car came from ohio. that may explain the large amounts of rust. but mine is getting backhalved so it's no big deal. good luck and post some progress pics.

Hey its been a while since ive posted. Projects moving along now and some things have changed The lt1 was ditched for a carb setup. Here are some pics of the grannys 8.8 kit installed. We narrowed the rearend about 4 inchs and used strange axles, spool, and c-clip elims along with an lpw diff cover.
Motor mock up

Grannys brackets welded on

Modification to bracket for better cover

Interior removed for install

8.8 installed
