Default Another LS1 FC vert.

Here are a few pictures i took during my build. Project took about a year, and i've been driving it around a little the last few months. Now that the weather is getting nicer hopefully a lot more.

It's an 88 i bought from the original owner. It ran for a couple months before i tore into it.

Motor is an 00 LS1/T56 from a Firebird WS6. It's almost stock. mods listed below.
Ported stock exhaust manifolds.
New stock clutch, plugs, Taylor wires
DIY intake with parts from intakehoses.com, Granatelli MAF, Thunder Racing tune
horrible sponsor harness mod
All smog equipmet removed - no cats, only 2 O2 sensors
Exhaust has QTP manual cutouts, Magnaflow x pipe and 6" round mufflers (pretty quiet just putting around - loud when it needs to be.)
Hinson cooling system and mount kit
Tein springs, KYB AGX shocks
US Brake master with homemade adapter to make it sit correctly.
MMR rear subframe and diff mounts, and DTSS removal.
Stock shifter with WS6store short stick and Hurst knob
Stock one wheeling diff
sway bar spacer and rear diff flange from Granny
Prothane bushing kit
Walbro fuel pump, Corvette FPR
Optima red top in trunk in Taylor aluminum box
Brembo blank rotors, Hawk HPS pads, SS brake lines
several rattle cans of black paint, many hours of grinding and sandblasting
other things that i forget.

On with the pics.
before the mayhem bagan.

What the engine bay started as.

entire suspension looked like this

after some work and some parts

motor going in

At home all together

bad picture in my garage

exhaust shot

That's pretty much it.

Steve
I cut a hole where the steering shaft would come through the firewall on a RHD car. The stock harness has enough length to mount in the stock RX7 location from there.

Whoa, a local. Shoot me a PM so I can take a look at your car one weekend. I live in Brusly just south of the MS bridge.

Looks great!

I'm just starting an LS1 in an 89 vert. Mine's black and will need alot more body work than your ride.

What kind of mileage are you getting with the LS1?

Odometer doesn't work - so i have no idea. Shouldn't be any different than an F-body - low to mid 20's.
